Townsend Public Library has 20 Windows XP public computers: 8 in the Main Library, 6 in the Young Adult Area, 4 in the Children's Room and 2 for searching the catalog in the Main Library. The Library also has 6 Apple iMac computers available to the public: 2 in the Main Library, 2 in the Young Adult Area and 2 in the Children’s Room. To use the Library's public computers, visitors must follow the Library's Internet and Computer Use Policy.
All of the Library's public Windows XP computers have the following programs loaded:

Printing, Faxing, and Copying
Prints cost .10 each for balack and white, .25 for color a page. Faxing cost $1 a page and copying .15 a copy.
Free, unsecured WiFi is available at the Townsend Library. Visitors may access the wireless network throughout the Library.
For visual impaired patrons ZoomText software is available, it features screen magnification and screen reading. These two features enable the user to see and hear everything displayed on the computer screen. We have a 1 network license which allows usage at any available Windows XP computer. We also have headphones available for use.
The library provides curbside and home delivery services for our handicapped or housebound patrons.
